activities & club

We at The Oxford Academy run a number of after school activities and clubs which span a wide range of curriculum and non-curriculum areas. We try and ensure that we offer something that will appeal to all students and offer them something new.

Competitions

We have an excellent record of students competing in Ministry organised and Non Ministry events. Year on Year students have been successful in Quran and Islamic competitions as well as sporting events including Football and Basketball events.

school uniform

School uniform is an important element of life at Oxford and we believe strongly that it has numerous benefits, such as helping to create a sense of community through shared identity, assisting students in staying focused whilst at school and encouraging them to interact with each other positively.

Parents play a very important role in helping us to realise all of these benefits by ensuring that their children wear their uniform smartly and correctly to school every day.

Details of phase and department specific uniform requirements can be found in the student planners held within the Parent Essentials section of this website.

Oxford uniform items can be purchased from our school shop, The Royal Scot, whose staff are ready to assist in this process.

counselling

School counseling takes place in public and private school settings in grades K-12. Counseling is designed to facilitate student achievement, improve student behavior and attendance, and help students develop socially. Mental health professionals with master’s degrees or beyond, school counselors both provide counseling and serve an educational role in and around schools. Many schools have full-time counselors on staff in order to support students who are experiencing personal or academic challenges, help students choose careers and plan for college, and intervene when students face behavioral, physical, or mental health challenges.
